Public Enterprise – Electric Power Industry of Serbia
EPS (Elektroprivreda Srbije) is the Serbian state power generation company. In terms of capital value and number of employees, EPS is the largest company in Serbia. It owns and operates a generation portfolio consisting of lignite, gas and hydro power plants. Besides power generation, ESP is also the country’s largest Lignite producer.

EPS was founded in 1991 as a state controlled enterprise following the breakup of Yugoslavia into separate countries. Many of its production facilities were damaged as a result of the NATO bombing campaign during the Kosovo war in 1999.
Active in: EPS is only active in Serbia.
Shareholders: The Serbian Republic owns 100% of EPS.
